Culture shapes reality.
From this belief was born The World of Wom:en Foundation Rome ETS, based at Palazzo Nardini in the heart of Rome.
We operate across a diverse range of media of human experience such as visual and performing arts, culture and philosophy, in order to foster social evolution.
WHY WOW
WoW is founded on a core belief: every work of art, cultural narrative and educational act is key in shaping our view of the world and of ourselves.
When entire perspectives are excluded, what remains is a partial and distorted understanding of the human experience.
Based at Palazzo Nardini — a place steeped in centuries of history and transformation — the Foundation inherits the legacy of those who, in the 1970s, occupied the building to create the Casa Internazionale delle Donne, the beating heart of Italian feminism.
Today, WoW reopens those rooms, restoring their energy and transforming them into a laboratory of wonder and change.
OUR MISSION
We are a generative institution: we create the conditions for new cultural forms to emerge through exhibitions, workshops, events, and encounters that transform both the participants and the cultural landscape they’re embedded in.
We envision culture as a fertile ground for freedom, equality, and participation, where the perspectives of wom:en and marginalized identities are finally recognized as essential to building a fairer and more shared future.
