Première “Le cose in Frantumi Luccicano”

“Le cose in frantumi luccicano”, five filmmakers bring the feminist struggle to the Rome Film Fest — from the birth of the first Women’s House with the occupation of Governo Vecchio to the battles still being fought today.

Premiered at the Rome Film Fest, Le cose in Frantumi Luccicano is a documentary directed by Marta Basso, Sara Cecconi, Carlotta Cosmai, Alice Malingri, and Lilian Sassanelli.

The film traces the story of Palazzo Nardini, occupied in 1976 by the Women’s Liberation Movement, which became Rome’s first Women’s House — a vital hub for Italian feminist struggles and achievements.

Through archival footage and first-hand testimonies, the directors give voice to those who brought that experience to life and to those who carry its legacy today: Lucha y Siesta, Donne de Borgata, students from Liceo Virgilio, and former activists from Governo Vecchio.

A collective narrative that bridges past and present, restoring the strength of a story that continues to illuminate our time.

The screening took place on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at the Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone, in the presence of the filmmakers.
